Haryana enhances DA for government employees

CHANDIGARH, APRIL 15
The Haryana Government today announced to enhance the rate of Dearness Allowance (D.A.) payable to the State Government employees from existing 90 per cent to 100 per cent with effect from January 1, 2014.
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that the grant of D.A. would put annual impact of Rs 531.60 crore on state exchequer. He said that the financial liabilities for the financial year 2014-15 for 14 months from January, 2014 to February, 2015 would be about of Rs.620 crore.PROHIBITION OF SALE OF LIQUOR: The Excise and Taxation Department, Haryana has prohibited the sale of liquor in three kilometer area adjoining Rajasthan border in view of General Elections to Lok Sabha 2014 in the Rajasthan state for which polling is to held on April 17.
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that sale and carrying of liquor would be totally banned in these areas from 6 p.m. of April 15 till of conclusion of poll on April 17. He said that no liquor would be allowed to serve on these days in three kilometer area adjoining Rajasthan border in district Sirsa.
He said that similarly, in view of General Election to Lok Sabha in Punjab state, no liquor would be allowed to serve, sale or carrying in three kilometer area adjoining Punjab border in the district from 6 p.m. of April 28 to 6 p.m. of April 30. 
ARUN KUMAR GOES TO CENTRE: Haryana Government has placed the services of Arun Kumar, IAS, Principal Secretary, Fisheries and Science and Technology Department at the disposal of Government of India for appointment as Joint Secretary in the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation with immediate effect.
