BJP goes out of lane at PM's function, feels Hooda

CHANDIGARH, AUG 19
Haryana Chief Minister  Bhupinder Singh Hooda today took strong exception to the manner in which the BJP turned an official function of Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi into a political rally in the presence of Prime Minister at Kaithal.
The Chief Minister, who addressed media persons after the function, termed it as a planned conspiracy which is highly condemnable. He said that he hails from the family of freedom fighters and has faith in democratic system. Therefore, he always keeps the office of Prime Minister in high esteem. He pointed out that in case the BJP continued to behave in this manner, he would not attend any such function of the Prime Minister in future.
Mr Hooda said that the BJP has been adversely affecting the democratic system of the country, which is very dangerous. He said that the office of Prime Minister does not belong to any political party, but it’s an institutional entity, but today its dignity has been lowered. Even earlier the Prime Minister belonging to the Congress Party had been visiting non-Congress ruled States but never before such a situation has been witnessed. He said that this despite being an official function, there were ticket seekers and supporters of the party.
Mr Hooda said that the first visit of Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi has disappointed the people of Haryana as they  had great hope from the Prime Minister and he added that Mr Modi even did not refer to any of the eight demands put forth by him at the official function in Kaithal today.
Mr. Hooda said that during his speech, the Prime Minister   referred to the development made by Haryana and was all praise for the hard working farmers of the State who feed the nation.
Mr. Hooda said that the foundation stone of four-laning of 166 km Kaithal-Narwana-Barwala-Hisar-Siwani National Highway up to Rajasthan Border which has been laid today by Mr. Modi had already been approved in the year 2012. The 95 per cent land of this project was acquired between the year 2013 and 2014 and got the environment clearance in August 2013.   Mr. Hooda hoped that work of this project, which was initiated by the UPA Government would  soon be completed.
