Haryana Government has placed the services of Mr T. V. S. N. Prasad, Principal Secretary, Food and Supplies Department at the disposal of Government of India for appointment as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, New Delhi with immediate effect.
Mr Hardeep Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary, Excise and Taxation Department has been given the additional charge of Food and Supplies Department.
OMAR ABDULLAH THANKS HOODA: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has thanked the Haryana Chief Minister Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda for the support given to the state during recent crises of floods in the State.
In a written communication addressed to Mr Hooda, Chief Minister Jammu and Kashmir said that "the assistance provided by Haryana Government has immensely benefited the civil administration".
He said that it was not easy to handle the situation in the face of the devastation caused by the catastrophe.
