CCS HAU begins admission process

CHANDIGARH, APRIL 21
Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar has begun its admission process from today. The university has invited on-line applications for admission to different Under Graduate (UG) and Post Graduate (PG) courses. Also, it has announced the schedule of entrance examination for these courses.
          In 2015-16 academic session, the university will admit students to four and six-year B.Sc. (Hons.) agriculture, four and six-year B.Sc. (Hons.) home science and M.Sc. programmes in the disciplines of agriculture, agricultural engineering, basic sciences and home science.  Besides, the university will also admit students in Post Graduate diploma courses in human nutrition and dietetics, communication skills in English, English-Hindi translation and remote sensing and geophysical information system application in agriculture and environment.
          Stating this today, the Registrar, Dr. M. S. Dahiya said that the on-line application form and downloadable prospectus were available on university website www.hau.ernet.in and ccshau.mycollegeform.com. However, for six-year B.Sc. (Hons) agriculture and home science programmes, the candidates could also apply off-line instead of on-line.
          He said the entrance exam for four-year B.Sc. (Hons) agriculture and M.Sc. programmes in food science and technology, bioinformatics, molecular biology and biotechnology, plant physiology, microbiology, zoology, chemistry and biochemistry would be held on June 27. Similarly, for six-year B.Sc. (Hons) agriculture and different M.Sc. agriculture courses, the entrance exam would be conducted on June 13. In rest of the UG and PG courses, the candidates would be admitted on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.
          He said that admission in B.Tech (agricultural engineering), MBA (general) and MBA (agribusiness) would be made by Haryana State Counseling Society (HSCS) on the basis of merit of AIEEE and CMAT respectively as per policy of Haryana government.
