MDU not conduting recruitment test for Clerk-cum-Data Entry Operator

CHANDIGARH, JUNE 28
Maharshi Dayanand Univeristy (MDU) was not conducting any recruitment test for regular recruitment of Clerk-cum-Data Entry Operator today as being reported in section of media.
The University administration, in pursuance and as a follow up of University’s Executive Council (EC)’s decision (Resolution No. 46 of meeting held on 15/6/2015) that- “Vice Chancellor be authorized to engage need based manpower on class III and class IV sanctioned vacant post through outsourcing agency”, had instructed the outsourcing agency to temporarily engage man power(Clerks/Clerk-cum-DEO) on the basis of computer typing test as per prescribed University Qualifications. Further, as per Vice Chancellor’s orders ‘that there should be no dilution in prescribed qualifications’, outsourcing agency had scheduled this Computer Efficiency Test today. This was done to engage really competent Clerks/Clerks-cum-D.E.O. who are efficient in Computer/I.T.operation/processes.
This Computer Typing Test was meant to assess the computer capability of the candidates who were called by the concerned outsourcing agency. This test was being conducted in the University Computer Centre Lab in presence of Univ. Officers/Officials to ensure fair play and transparency of the process.
The University re-iterates that the matter is entirely above board, and it was no clandestine matter. The University administration through existing outsourcing agency, was making purely stop gap arrangements for engagement/deployment of Clerk-cum-D.E.O.s in view of pressing manpower requirements of various offices/branches/depts. till regular/arrangement are made. It was not a regular recruitment process of the University. The doubts raised by certain organizations related to political parties is unjustified attempt to create confusion and doubts in general public, and tarnish the image of the University.
