Gurgaon Civil Hospital to be upgraded

CHANDIGARH, NOV 2
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal has announced to upgrade the Civil Hospital in Sector 10, Gurgaon to 200 bedded hospital.
        The Chief Minister made this announcement during the inauguration function of 2nd phase of Mission Indradhanush Immunization Programme in Gurgaon today. The Chief Minister administered drops of micro nutrients supplements to children and launched the Micro Nutrient Supplement - 2015 Programme.
        He said that 2nd phase of Mission Indradhanush would have four rounds and every month campaign would be run for seven days in which vaccination of children up to five years of age would be done to protect them from diseases. The first round of 2nd phase of the Mission would continue till November 8, 2015 and the Micro Nutrient Supplement Programme would continue throughout the month under which iron, vitamin A etc nutrients would be given to children up to the age of five years.
        Later, while presiding over a meeting of the Shree Mata Sheetla Devi Shrine Board, the Chief Minister approved in principle the setting up of a diagnostic laboratory along with the Civil Hospital, Sector 10, Gurgaon under Public-Private Partnership mode.
        He said that registration of children would be made compulsory at the time of birth and this would be Aadhaar-based so that no child is deprived of vaccination. Under this, the guardians of the children would be informed about the vaccination schedule. He added that in the 2nd phase of Mission Indradhanush, a campaign would be run in Palwal and Mewat under the name of ‘Teeka Express’.
        Later while interacting with mediapersons, the Chief Minister said that the State Government has decided to set up a medical college in each district to meet the shortage of doctors in the State.
        Health Minister, Mr. Anil Vij  said that the mission of the State Government is “Swachh Haryana Swasth Haryana” for which all out efforts were being made. The Haryana Government is considering making it mandatory to add micro supplements to wheat on the pattern of iodised salt.
