CHANDIGARH, NOV 30
Haryana Vidhan Sabha today paid rich tributes to the prominent personalities who have expired between the period from the end of the previous session and the beginning of the current Winter Session which commenced here today. The members of the House also observed a two-minute silence to pay homage to the departed souls.
Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal, who is also the Leader of the House paid tributes to Chaudhary Ran Singh, former Minister of Haryana, Mr. Kailash Chand Sharma, former Deputy Chairman of Haryana State Planning Board, Mrs. Meena Mandal, former Minister of State. Mr. Ashok Singhal, former International Working President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), freedom fighters who played a significant role in achieving the freedom of the country and Martyrs of Haryana who made supreme sacrifices of their lives while safeguarding the unity and integrity of motherland.
Speaker Haryana Vidhan Sabha Mr. Kanwar Pal also read out the obituary resolutions and paid tribute to the departed souls.
Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Mrs Kiran Chaudhary and Mr Jaswinder Singh Sandhu, MLA of INLD also read obituary resolutions on behalf of their parties.
The freedom fighters who have been paid homage in the House are Mr. Chhaju Ram of village Sahjawas, district Gurgaon, Mr. Jaimal Singh of village Sidhrawali, district Gurgaon and Mr. Narsingh Das Arora of Shahbad district Kurukshetra.
The House also paid homage to martyrs of Haryana who have showed indomitable courage and made supreme sacrifices of their lives while safeguarding and protecting the unity and integrity of the motherland. They included Major Dhruv Yadav, Gurgaon, Assistant Sub Inspector Mr. Dalip Kumar of village Deroli Ahir, district Mahendragarh, Subedar Suresh Kumar of village Ramalwas, district Bhiwani, Havildar Ramesh Kumar of village Kharkharawas of district Mahendragarh, Naik Bijender Kumar of village Mastapur of district Rewari, Lance Naik Deepak Kumar of village Jhanda distrit Yamunanagar, Lance Naik Heera Singh of village Gothra district Bhiwani, Lance Naik Sandeep Kumar of village Khaleta district Rewari, Lance Naik Sagar Singh of village Kheri district Mahendragarh, Leading Seaman Sukhdev Singh of village Kanhri district Fatehabad, Sepoy Ramkumar of village Beri district Jhajjar, Sepoy Mahesh Kumar of village Missri district Bhiwani and Sepoy Dayanand of village Sorkhi district Hisar.
The House also paid tributes to those nine innocent persons who lost their lives in two cylinder blasts in Himshikha Colony, Pinjore of district Panchkula on November 10, 2015.
Apart from this, the House placed on record its deep sense of sorrow on the sad demise of Mr. Arjun Singh, cousin of General (Retd.) V.K. Singh, Union Minister of State, Mrs Murti Devi, mother of Rao Narbir Singh, Public Works (Building and Roads) Minister, Mrs Bharto Devi, mother of Mr. Krishan Lal Panwar, Transport Minister, Mrs Poonam Sharma, wife of nephew of Mrs. Latika Sharma, MLA, Mr. Yakub Khan, Samdhi of Mr. Mohammad Iliyas, former Minister and Mr Sumit Kumar, grandson of Mr Hari Ram, former MLA.
