Rs 5 crore loan for cooperative farming

CHANDIGARH, NOV 22
Haryana Chief Minister  Manohar Lal said that the State Government would provide loan up to Rs five crore to the Cooperative Societies for cooperative farming which would include subsidy of Rs one crore. He said that with a view to promote diversification of crops, individual loans up to Rs five lakh would be given to farmers without guarantee.
        The Chief Minister was speaking in the platinum jubilee function of the Ambala Circle Saini Sabha at Ambala today. On this occasion, he announced to give grant of Rs 51 lakh to the Sabha.
        While emphasizing on adopting modern techniques in agriculture sector and need of cooperative farming, he said that there is a need to promote farming of fruits, flowers and vegetables instead of traditional crops. Appreciating the contribution of Saini Samaj in the development of several fields including agriculture, armed forces, business and other areas, the Chief Minister said that keeping in view the decreasing land holdings, cooperative farming is the need of the hour.
        He said that survey was being conducted of the entire state to promote education in the state especially to ensure education for girls.  Colleges would be set up on priority basis in those areas where these are required. He said that large scale recruitment would be carried out during next year to meet the shortage of teachers in schools and colleges. He said that efforts were being made with the support of private educational institutions each in five government schools to improve quality of education. He also urged the Ambala Circle Saini Sabha to adopt five government schools of the City and help in improving quality of education and ensure all round development of students.
        The Chief Minister assured to fulfill all demands put forth by the Saini Samaj. He said that the successful completion of 75 years of the any institution is not only a big achievement, but also an example for other institutions.
        Earlier, the Chief Minister laid foundation stone of four rooms to be set up at a cost of Rs 40 lakh by the Ambala Circle Saini Sabha and also released two booklets pertaining to history and achievements of Saini Samaj.
        Speaking on the occasion, the Health Minister, Mr. Anil Vij said that the Chief Minister has been carrying out all round development all across the State. He said that the previous government misused the revenue of the State and the development was limited to certain areas only. He congratulated the Ambala Circle Saini Sabha for successful completion of 75 years and announced to give Rs 11 lakh to the Sabha out of his discretionary funds.
        Members of Parliament, Mr. Ratan Lal Kataria, Mr. Raj Kumar Saini, Minister of State for Mines and Geology, Mr. Nayab Singh Saini, MLA Ambala, Mr. Aseem Goel, MLA Ladwa, Dr. Pawan Saini and other dignitaries also spoke on this occasion.
