Special package to Ambala mixi industry

CHANDIGARH, NOV 30
Under the new Enterprises Promotion Policy-2015, the Haryana Government would give a special package to the mixi industry in Ambala City to restore its lost glory. Besides, separate clusters would be set up for plywood industry in Yamunanagar, scientific instruments in Ambala, metal industry in Jagadhari and clothing industry in Panipat. The Central Government has given approval in principle for this and a detailed project report would be prepared by February, 2016.
This was disclosed by the Haryana Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu, while answering a question raised by MLA Mr Aseem Goyal regarding the Enterprises Promotion Policy-2015 on the first day of the Winter Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha here today.
Capt. Abhimanyu also informed the House that under the new Policy, the state government would contribute 20 per cent of the cost of projects worth Rs 2 crore, and the Central Government would give grant up to 70 per cent for projects costing between Rs 15 crore and Rs 20 crore.
Under the new policy, cluster groups would be developed by setting up common facility centres 90 per cent of the cost of which would be borne by the Central Government. The minister informed the House that industries would be developed on the National Highway from Yamunanagar to Panchkula. A tool room is being set up in Ambala at a cost of Rs 50 crore, apart from Food Park in Saha.
Regarding the demand of INLD MLA, Mr. Rajdeep Phogat, for setting up heavy industry in place of the defunct factory of the Cement Corporation of India (CCI) in Dadri, Capt Abhimanyu said that he had given information on this matter during the previous session as well. The government would make efforts to set up industry in place of the CCI factory.
He reassured that House that the present government would work in an unbiased manner and take the projects started by the previous government further.
Replying to a question asked by INLD MLA, Mr Om Parkash, regarding upgradation of Government High School for Girls in village Badwa of Loharu Assembly constituency to senior secondary school, the Education Minister, Mr Ram Bilas Sharma, informed the House that the government would upgrade schools on priority basis wherever prescribed criteria and rules for upgradation of schools were fulfilled.
Participating in the discussion, INLD MLA, Dr. Ravinder Baliala, also demanded that the school in village Ramba of Ratia Assembly constituency too should be upgraded.
Replying to a question asked by INLD MLA, Dr. Hari Chand Middha, regarding the expected time for affiliation of B.Ed. colleges with Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind, the Education Minister said that presently, 495 B.Ed. and D.Ed. colleges and 43 universities were functional in the state.
The previous government had established Chaudhary Bansi Lal University in Bhiwani and Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University in Jind in a hurry. Neither adequate infrastructure was provided nor was the faculty recruited. As higher education is a priority for the present government, mapping of all educational institutes is being done and new educational institutions would be opened to meet the demand, he added.
