Haryana produces 85,350 quintal sugar

CHANDIGARH, DEC 11
 Sugarcane crushing season 2015-16 has started in Haryana and cooperative sugar mills have so far produced 85,350 quintal sugar by crushing 14.75 lakh quintal sugarcane.    
While giving this information here today, Haryana Minister of State for Cooperation, Mr. Bikram Singh Yadav, said that Cooperative Sugar Mill, Shahabad has so far crushed the maximum amount of sugarcane at 3.56 lakh quintal and produced 27,400 quintal sugar, followed by Cooperative Sugar Mill, Panipat which has crushed 2.61 lakh quintal sugarcane, producing 22,400 quintal sugar.
He said that Cooperative Sugar Mill, Sonipat has crushed 2.01 lakh quintals of sugarcane and has produced 11,800 quintals of sugar, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Karnal has crushed 1.38 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced 7,850 quintals of sugar whereas Cooperative Sugar Mill, Meham has crushed 1.36 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced 1,750 quintals of sugar.
Similarly, Gohana Sugar Mill has crushed 1.52 lakh quintals of sugarcane, producing 6,000 quintals of sugar, Jind Sugar Mill has crushed 1.07 lakh quintals of sugarcane and produced 5,800 quintals of sugar and Rohtak Sugar Mill has crushed 1.03 lakh quintals of sugarcane, producing 2,350 quintals of sugar.
Besides this, HAFED Sugar Mill, Assandh has crushed 54,500 quintals of sugarcane, he added.
