Haryana CM to hold road show in Kolkata

CHANDIGARH, JAN 29
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal, who will hold a road show in Kolkata tomorrow, would also have a special interactive session with industrialists of Haryana origin based at Kolkata the same day and invite them to invest in their native state. 
          While stating this in Kolkata  today, a spokesman of Haryana Industries Department said that Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Capt. Abhimanyu  and President Haryana Nagrik Sangh Mr. Babulal Dhanania will also address the session.
          He said that while Haryana Additional Chief Secretary Mr Ram Niwas will deliver introductory remarks of Pravasi Haryana Divas, Principal Secretary Industries and Commerce Mr. Devender Singh would give a presentation on “Opportunities for investment in Haryana”. Senior functionaries of Haryana government will also be present on this occasion.
SPECIAL BUSES ON 44 ROUTES: Haryana Transport Department has introduced special buses on 44 routes in 12 districts of the State and Chandigarh  to facilitate the girls studying in colleges, technical and other educational institutes by providing them safe transport system. The remaining districts of the State would be covered during this year.
            While stating this here today, the Transport Minister, Mr Krishan Lal Panwar said that a female security guard is also being deputed in these buses for the safety of girls.
          He said that these buses are covering  12 routes in Kurukshtra, six routes each in Fatehabad and Gurgaon, five routes in Jhajjar, three routes each in Ambala and Chandigarh, two routes each in Faridabad and Rewari and one route each in Jind, Narnaul, Nuh, Palwal and Rohtak.
MODEL CODE OF CONDUCT: With the completion of counting of votes of the General Election of Panchayati Raj Institutions, the Model Code of Conduct in Haryana has been withdrawn with immediate effect.
          While stating this here today, a spokesman of State Election Commission said that however, officers or officials in-charge of preparation of results, finalization of accounts, completion of formalities and documentation would not be transferred for at least two weeks so that the whole process could be completed smoothly.
