Making Haryana a digital and smart state

CHANDIGARH, JAN 23
 Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal today returned from his highly successful 5-day visit  to Japan and China where he had led a delegation to invite investment to the State.
While talking to the media persons at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, he said that he had received tremendous response from the entrepreneurs and investors in both countries. He said that as a result of the MoUs signed between Haryana and some companies of both countries, the infrastructure in the State would be further strengthened and ample employment opportunities would be generated for the youth in Haryana. Also, these would pave the way for making Haryana a digital and smart state.
He said that he  was accompanied by  Industries Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu, Urban Local Bodies Minister, Mrs. Kavita Jain and officials of the State Government. He said that he also invited representatives of various companies to visit Haryana, especially for its Happening Haryana meet to be held from March 7 to 9 in Gurgaon. The foreign companies have expressed interest to invest in Haryana as a result of State Government’s investor friendly policies.
He said that Wanda Company of China has signed an MoU to invest   Rs 60,000 crore in the State in next four years. The State Government would make available 2200 acres of land near Kharkhoda. He said that the Chinese companies have shown interest in setting up of industrial parks, smart city,   industrial units to manufacture cell phones and e-commerce platform. Chinese companies have also shown interest in making investment in areas of education, health, science and technology.
He said that he had schedule of seven days for these two countries, but had to cut short it to five days because the French President Francois Hollande and Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi are arriving in Chandigarh and Gurgaon. After landing at New Delhi, the Chief Minister  left for Chandigarh by road.
In reply to a question, he said that on arrival in Japan, he tried to learn Japanese which proved useful.
            Those present on the occasion to greet the Chief Minister included a number of his cabinet colleagues including Agriculture  Minister, Mr. O.P. Dhankar, Public Works (Building and Roads) Minister, Rao Narbir Singh, Transport Minister, Mr. Krishan Lal Panwar, Minister of State for Cooperation, Mr. Bikram Singh, Haryana BJP President, Mr. Subhash Barala, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Dr. Kamal Gupta, MLAs, Mr. Manish Grover, Mr. Dinesh Kaushik, Mr. Naresh Kaushik, Ms. Seema Trikha and Mr. Mool Chand. Political Advisor to Chief Minister, Mr. Jagdish Chopra, Political Secretary, Mr. Deepak Mangla, OSD,Mr. Jawahar Yadav, OSD (Media), Mr. Raj Kumar Bhardwaj, OSD Karnal, Mr. Amrinder and a large number of admirers.
