The Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Mr. Kanwar Pal, has nominated six members to serve on the Business Advisory Committee in the Haryana Legislative Assembly. The Speaker would serve as Ex-officio Chairperson of the Committee.
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that the Committee would include Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Mr. Ram Bilas Sharma, Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu, Leader of Opposition, Mr. Abhay Singh Chautala and Members of Legislative Assembly, Mrs. Kiran Choudhry and Mr. Kuldeep Bishnoi as Members.
The Committee would also include Deputy Speaker, Mrs. Santosh Yadav as Special Invitee.
FINANCIAL GRANT: With a view to rationalise the time period for financial assistance for the marriage of grand-daughters of freedom fighters and INA personnel belonging to Haryana and their widows, the State Government has decided that the claim for assistance to the tune of Rs 51,000 would ordinarily be made within six months from the date of marriage through the Deputy Commissioner concerned. It has also been made mandatory to provide financial assistance only through Aadhaar-linked bank accounts.
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that the claims should not be made later than 12 months within the date of marriage (for a special reason to be recorded for delay).
He said that after verification of claims and recording his/her satisfaction, the Deputy Commissioner would forward the case to Chairman, Haryana Swatantrata Sainani Samman Samiti (HSSSS). After verification by Chairman, HSSSS, approval would be taken from Chief Secretary to issue sanction to the Administrator General and Official Trustee and Treasurer, Charitable Endowments Haryana for making necessary arrangements for payment of financial assistance, he added.
ADDITONAL CHARGE: The Haryana Government has issued transfer and posting officers of an IAS officer with immediate effect.
Amit Kumar Agrawal, Secretary to Governor has been given additional charge of Managing Director, Haryana Medical Service Corporation Ltd. against a vacant post.
CLEANLINESS AND HYGIENE: With a view to protect patients from infection by ensuring maintenance of high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all government hospitals and medical colleges in the State, the Haryana Government has decided that bedsheets of different colours would be used for all days of the week.
This was stated by Haryana Health Minister, Mr. Anil Vij, here today.
The Health Minister said that directions to this effect have been issued to all Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) in the State. He said that Director General, Health Services (DGHS) would decide the colour for each specific day and communicate these to the CMOs. Notices specifying which colour would be used on a particular day would be displayed in each hospital, he added.
He said that during inspection of different hospitals in the State, complaints were received that bedsheets in government hospitals were not being changed regularly, whch led to greater risk of infection.
BPL AND DPL: The Haryana Government has revised the limit of annual income of families living Below Poverty Line (BPL) and below Double the Poverty Line (DPL) in both rural and urban areas of the State for various schemes being run by Haryana Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation (HSCFDC).
While giving this information here today, a spokesman of Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Department said that a proposal to this effect has been approved by Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal.
He said that the limit of annual income of BPL families living in rural areas has been increased from Rs 20,000 to Rs 40,500 and those living in urban areas from Rs 27,500 to Rs 51,500. Similarly, for the families living below Double the Poverty Line (DPL), the limit of annual income has been increased from Rs 40,000 to Rs 81,000 in rural areas and Rs 55,000 to Rs 1.03 lakh in urban areas.
CAUGHT RED-HANDED: The Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has caught Mani Ram, Clerk, Municipal Committee Barwala, District Hisar red handed while accepting illegal gratification of Rs 3,000 from Rajesh Kumar, resident of Saini Mohalla Barwala, District Hisar in lieu of passing of house map.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Bureau said that a case has been registered against him under section 7 and 13 of Prevention of Corruption Act at Bureau’s Police Station at Hisar.
AMENDMENT IN VAT ACT: The Haryana Cabinet which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal here today approved the amendment in Section 59A of the Haryana Value Added Tax Act, 2003 in order to provide relief to those registered dealers of the State who suffered losses on account of goods destroyed or lost during the recent agitation in the State in February 2016.
With this amendment, the Government would be able to bring a suitable amnesty scheme to cover those affected dealers whose goods were either destroyed or lost in the recent agitation in the State during February 2016.
ONE-TIME TAX RATES: The Haryana Cabinet which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal here today has approved the reduction in rates of one-time tax from 6 per cent to 2 per cent of the cost of vehicle to be charged from all ambulances.
Four per cent reduction in one time tax will help to curtail financial burden on the owners. This will also enable them to provide better ambulance facilities to the patients. The owner of the ambulances will transport trauma patients free of cost.
