Horticulture Vision- 2026 workshop

CHANDIGARH, APRIL20
Haryana Agriculture Minister O.P. Dhankar said that Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh would inaugurate a two-day workshop “Horticulture Vision- 2026” being organized by Haryana Horticulture Department in New Delhi on April 21, 2016.
        Mr Dhankar, who was addressing a press conference here today, said that Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal would address the participants on the concluding day of the workshop on April 22, 2016.
        He said that the main objective to organize the workshop was to take the horticulture to the new heights in the next decade, especially in national capital region. The progressive farmers, experts from horticulture and officers of the department would also participate in the workshop. At present, seven per cent of the area is under horticulture in the state. The deliberations about the challenges how to increase the production and productivity of horticulture would be held in the workshop and year to year action plan to achieve the target would also be discussed
ADDITIONAL CHARGE: The Haryana Government has ordered that Vijay Singh Dahiya, Managing Director, Haryana Agro Industries Corporation would also be Advisor and Special Secretary, Civil Aviation, in addition to his present duties, relieving Arun Kumar Gupta of the said additional charge. The orders have been issued with immediate effect.
SECRETARIES PROMOTED: The  Haryana Government has promoted two Secretaries to Ministers of Haryana Civil Secretariat, to the post of officiating Senior Secretary to Minister.
          They are Mr. Prem Chand Ahuja, Secretary, office of Additional Chief Secretary, Home, and Mr. Ashwani Kumar Tuteja, Secretary to Chief Secretary.
