Subhash Chander stars in Canara HSBC 's win

CHANDIGARH, APRIL 25
An all-round performance by Subhash Chander (45 and 3 for 10) and his 59-run second wicket partnership with Dheeraj Kumar (45, 4x4s, 2x6s) helped Canara HSBC beat Suave Automotive by 53 runs in the Gurgaon District Cricket Twenty20 Tournament in Gurgaon on Sunday night.
Canara HSBC batted first and scored 133 for 3 in allootted 20 overs. They lost their opener Yogesh Rawat (6) with scoreboard reading 54. Subhash and Dheeraj propped up their innings with a 59-run second wicket partnership. Subhash in his 45 hit six boundaries while Dheeraj's 45 contained four fours and two sixes.
Dinesh Mehta and Nitin Gupta remained not out on 3 and 8, respectively.
In reply Suave Automotive were bundled out for 88 in 17 overs. Only Anuj (24), Naveen (10) and Pardeep (10) could reach the double figure mark. Abhishek Lal (3 for 7), Subhash Chander (3 for 10), Shalesh Negi (1 for 13), Sumit Chawla (1 for 15) and Dheeraj Kumar (1 for 21) were the wicket takers for Canara HSBC .
Subhash Chander was adjudged the man of the match. He received a voucher of Rs 3500. Dheeraj, also of Canara HSBC got a vourcher award for Rs 2000.
Awards were given by BJP leader Manish Yadav and Gurgaon District Cricket Association general secretary Naresh Sharma distributed the prize.
