Amendments in methods of selection of teachers

CHANDIGARH, MAY 20
The Haryana Government has amended the General Administration Department, General Services notification of January 28, 1970.
          While stating this here today, a spokesman of General Administration Department said that as per the amendment, methods of recruitment and the principles to be followed in making appointment to the post of Teacher, Educational Supervisor and Teacher Educator of Group B and C of School Education Department and non-gazetted Group C post under the state government have been notified.
          The Commission shall make selection and recommendation of the names of candidates to a department or an office on the basis of a written examination followed by interview. In case of all Group C posts under State Government except Teacher, Educational Supervisor and Teacher Educator of School Education Department and Class-III posts of Health Department in field of medical services, the weightage of interview marks will be 12 per cent of the total marks and written exam shall be of 88 per cent weightage of the total marks. The written exam will be divided into two portions that is 75 per cent weightage for General Awareness, Reasoning, Maths, Science, English, Hindi and concerned or relevant subject and 25 per cent for History, Current Affairs, Literature, Geography, Civics, Environment, Culture etc. of Haryana.
          As per the criteria for recruitment in case of Teacher, Educational Supervisor and Teacher Educator of School Education Department belonging to Group B and C posts, written test will be of 80 per cent marks whereas eight per cent marks that is one per cent for each completed year of service in the respective categories subject to maximum eight per cent will be given for experience and interview will be of 12 percent.
          The criteria for recruitment in case of class III posts in field of medical service of Health Department, written test will be of 80 per cent marks whereas eight per cent marks that is one per cent for each completed year of service in the respective categories engaged in RCH/NRHM/NHM project of under any Health Department of any State or Central Government in same capacity subject to maximum of eight per cent will be given for experience and interview will be of 12 per cent marks.
          The number of candidates called for interview shall not exceed twice the number of vacancies provided that all the candidates having same percentage points as the last candidate shall be called for interview.
