database of all residents of Haryana by next year

CHANDIGARH, MAY 21
The Haryana Government would get a database of all residents of the State prepared within the next one year, which would include all demographic details of the residents. This database would be integrated with the delivery of citizen-centric services and would also help in identifying bogus ration cards under the Public Distribution System.
          This was stated by Additional Chief Secretary, Finance, Mr. Sanjeev Kaushal here today.
          Mr Kaushal said that Haryana Government has set a target   of Rs 7,343.69 crore for allocation to Yamunanagar under District Annual Credit Plan in 2016-17. In the year 2015-16, this target was Rs 6,385.84 crore and achievement was Rs 6,771.56 crore.
        He said that under the District Plan scheme, funds amounting to Rs 957.90 lakh have been approved for district Yamunanagar in 2016-17. In 2014-15, funds amounting to Rs 478.90 lakh were released, of which Rs 385.67 lakh were spent.
        Mr Kaushal said that under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana’, which was launched with the objective of ensuring financial inclusion of every individual, 2,81,605 bank accounts have so far been opened in district Yamunanagar.
        He said that under this scheme, 2,45,179 Rupay Cards have been issued in the district, which is 87.06 per cent of the total target. Apart from this, 73,721 Zero Deposit accounts have been opened, which is 26.17 per cent of the total target, he added.
        Mr Kaushal said that under the Mudra scheme, loans were being provided to entrepreneurs with micro and small businesses, such as vegetable sellers, salon owners and street vendors. Loans are given under three categories namely ‘Shishu’, which covers loans up to Rs 50,000, ‘Kishore’, which covers loans above Rs 50,000 and up to Rs 5,00,000, and ‘Tarun’, which covers loans above Rs 5,00,000 and up to Rs 10,00,000, he added.
        He said that in 2015-16, loans amounting to Rs 10,137.85 lakh were provided under the Mudra scheme in district Yamunanagar. These included loans amounting to Rs 2,232.83 lakh under ‘Shishu’ category, Rs 3,561.71 lakh under ‘Kishore’ category and Rs 4,343.31 lakh under ‘Tarun’ category, he added.
        Mr. Kaushal said that 4,380 trainees have been provided training at the Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) being run by Punjab National Bank in Peeruwala, district Yamunanagar. Loans amounting to Rs 701.85 lakh have been provided to 2,135 of these trainees for different activities including dairy, plumber, cutting and tailoring, soft toy making, mobile repair, beauty parlour and bag making. Apart from this, target has been set up to provide benefits to 418 persons under the ‘Stand Up India’ scheme, he added.
          He said that mining of boulder and gravel has been started in district Mahendragarh, which has led to a 20 per cent decrease in the prices of these materials. There was a strong possibility that operations in the remaining sand mines in district Yamunanagar would resume in June.
        Mr Kaushal, who also held a meeting with officers of district administration in Yamunanagar today  directed them to take concrete steps towards displaying rate list of essential services at all Common Service Centres.He directed the officers of Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant to make arrangements to check pollution caused by fly ash generated in the plant. He was informed   that the roads near village Lapra and around the thermal plant remained covered in fly ash and it became necessary to spray them with water from time to time. He directed the officers of the power plant to get the ash collection area of the plant and the surrounding roads sprayed with water on a regular basis.
          Mr. Kaushal also visited both 300-MW units of the power plant and the site where coal is offloaded from the train and reviewed the work going on there.
