Two-laning of Ferozepur Jhirka-Biwan recommended

CHANDIGARH, MAY 20
Haryana Chief Secretary, Mr. D.S. Dhesi has recommended the two-laning of the 14.28-kilometre Ferozepur Jhirka-Biwan road in district Mewat at a cost of Rs 64.7 crore.
        The Chief Secretary was presiding over a meeting of the Committee of Secretaries on Infrastructure (CoSI) here today.
         It was informed in the meeting that the road would be developed under Public-Private Partnership mode. Keeping in view the plying of heavy vehicles on this road, due to mining activities in the area, the track would be made of concrete.
        Those present in the meeting included Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) and Financial Commissioner, Revenue, Mrs. Keshni Anand Arora, ACS, Public Works (Buildings and Roads), Mr. Hardeep Kumar and senior officers of different departments.
CAUGHT RED-HANDED: The Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has caught Assistant sub-inspector, Dharmbir Singh, posted at Police Station Barwala in district Hisar, red-handed while accepting illegal gratification of Rs 15,000 from Surender, a resident of Barwala  in lieu of taking action on his complaint.
          While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Bureau said that a case has been registered against him under sections 7 and 13 of the Prevention of Corruption Act at Bureau’s Police Station, Hisar. Further investigation of the case is in progress, he added.
199 VIOLATIONS  DETECTED: The Haryana Labour Department conducted 1,412 inspections under various labour laws recently and detected 199 violations of different kind. The Department also recovered a sum of over Rs7.31 lakh as fine during and 242 prosecutions were launched and 141 convictions were obtained during the same period.
          While stating this here today, a spokesman of Labour Department said that under Factories Act, 1948, the Department conducted 66 inspections of various industrial establishments and launched prosecutions in 86 cases during the same period.
          He said that apart from this, 98 industrial disputes were got settled by   conciliation officers of the Labour Department and six disputes were withdrawn by workers or trade unions.
          He said that the Department is running 11 whole time labour welfare centres in important industrial towns of the State. In these centres, workers are provided the facilities of reading room, library, knitting, training classes for women and other recreational activities.
 OBJECTIONS INVITED:  The Haryana School Education Department has invited objections from all stakeholders in regard to zoning of schools, the list of which, finalized by District Education Officers, has been hosted on the department website http://www.schooleducationharyana.gov.in.
          While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Department said that the objections may be submitted to respective District Education Officer (DEO) in respect to High and Senior Secondary School and to respective District Elementary Education Officer (DEEO) in respect of Primary and Middle Schools strictly in prescribed format given on the website.
          He said that such objections may reach the concerned officer through email latest by May 23, 2016 by 5 p.m. with a copy to the Directorate at email address eduhry.notice2016@gmail.com. Objections received thereafter would not be considered. He said that the list of email addresses of all DEOs and DEEOs is available on the website alongwith list of zonewise schools.
          The spokesman said that Teachers Transfer Policy 2016 was issued by the Department of School Education on April 30, 2016. As per the provision of the said policy, zonewise list of schools once finalized is to be hosted on the website seeking objections before it is notified by the Government.
PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN KURUKSHETRA: The Haryana Government has notified that May 25, 2016, the day of poll in Municipal Council, Thanesar, district Kurukshetra, would be observed as a public holiday in   government offices and  those of Boards, Corporations, educational institutions under the government and in various factories, commercial establishments and shops located in   area of Municipal Council, Thanesar within the meaning of section 25 of  Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881.
        While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that a notification to this effect has been issued by the General Administration Department.
INSPECTION OF GENERATORS: Chandigarh, May 20– Haryana Government has decided that all the apparatus of capacity above 100 KVA of the generating units including generating units producing electricity from renewable sources of energy shall be inspected by the Electrical Inspector before commissioning.
          A notification to this effect has been issued by Power Department.
