New social security pension rules

CHANDIGARH, JUNE 17
Haryana Chief Minister  Manohar Lal today said that the new rules of social security pension would be applicable to new beneficiaries. He also made it clear that neither any beneficiary’s  social security pension has been deducted nor discontinued.
       The Chief Minister was replying to the questions of media persons in Rewari today.
       He said that now those having a monthly income of Rs. 20,000 would not be entitled to get the pension because those who have annual income of about Rs. 2.5 lakh do not require it. The poor eligible beneficiaries would get the pension, he added.
       When his attention was drawn towards the issue of Rajya Sabha elections, he said that anybody could approach the Election Commission, which has its own right and could take any decision. In democracy all parties have the right to express their views. He said that Congress has many groups and he described it as a party of groups. He said that he himself wanted the Congress to survive and remain united, but he feared that it might vanish.
       In reply to a question concerning construction of AIIMS in Rewari, he said that a piece of land has been offered at village Malethi and the state government has forwarded this proposal to the Central Government. The state government is in touch with Central Government and soon after getting the approval, the construction work would be started.
CONNECTING ALL VILLAGES: Union Rural Development Minister, Ch. Birender Singh said that 1.34 lakh kms long roads would be constructed by 2019 under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY)  to connect all villages in the country with main roads. 
The Union Minister, who was in Bhiwani today,said that earlier  this project was to be completed by the year 2022, but keeping in view the pace    of construction   of roads, now all villages would be linked by 2019. He said that earlier, 73.5 kms road length used to be constructed in one day, but  now it is100 kms every day. This would be further increased   to 130 kms everyday. In two years’ leadership of Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi, 46,000 kms roads have been constructed.
He said that Rs 40 crore would be released for water management in areas like Bhiwani and Mahendragarh.
