MDU to organise Career Guidance and Placement activities

 CHANDIGARH, SEPT 6
 Maharshi Dayanand University(MDU), Rohtak, in collaboration with Career Counseling and Placement Cell (CCPC), will organize different activities of Career Guidance and Placement in academic year 2016-17.
         While stating this today, a spokesman of University said that this was decided in a meeting of CCPC held   under the chairmanship of Director CCPC Prof Rajkumar in the University.
          He said that the job fair would be organized in collaboration with UIET and IHTM in the academic. A Career Guidance programme in every academic department would also be organized. Apart from this, five different lectures or programmes would also be conducted in Medical Science Department.
         He said that assistance of MDU alumni network would also be sought so as to encourage and promote placement activities in the university. Companies would be invited for campus placement in Computer Science and Application Department. In addition, Career Guidance programme would also be conducted in Departments of Hindi, Journalism and Public Relations, Public Administration, Chemistry, Economics, Centre for Bio Informatics and Microbiology, he added.
         It was also decided in the meeting to organize a workshop on the topics of personality development, soft skills, resume writing, interview skills.
         Those present in the meeting included CCPC Coordinator Professor Bal Kishan, Dr Pooja Suneja, Dr Priti Bura, Dr Ritika, Dr Rajesh Kumar, Dr Krishna Devi, Mr Arun Hooda, Dr Harish Dureja, Dr Ajit Kumar, Dr Rajesh Kundu and other officers.
7 UNAUTHORISED COLONIES DEMOLISHED: The Enforcement and Vigilance Wing of Haryana Town and Country Planning Department, Faridabad today demolished seven unauthorised colonies which were being developed over an area of about 18 acres   in villages Madalpur and Sarurpur.
         While giving this information, Mr Naresh Kumar, District Town Planner, Enforcement said that the colonies were being developed on Madalpur-Kureshipur road and Sarur-Madalpur road. Road network and 15 electricity poles were uprooted with the help of District Administration  in the presence of huge police force. The office of two property dealers, eight commercial  and four residential buildings and about 120 boundary walls and DPC were demolished. The demolition  was done   under Urban Area and Controlled Areas Act. Mr Naresh Kumar, District Town Planner, Enforcement   was present on the occasion as Duty Magistrate. Mr Anil Kumar, in-charge of concerned police station in sector 55, Mr Suraj Katyal, In-charge Sikrona Police Post and Mr Pardeep Rana, Junior Engineer were also present.
        He said that FIRs were being registered against those earmarking such unauthorized colonies. Such demolitions would   continued by the department. He said that the state government has imposed ban on the registries of land in such   colonies. He urged the people of the district not to get misled by land mafia for buying plots in such colonies. He said that one should   take approval of the state government before earmarking of colony, buying of plot and construction of building.  Unauthorised colony and construction can be demolished any time according to provisions in the Act. Therefore, the people should remain alert  in this regard.
MoU SIGNED:  Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Municipal Corporation, Gurgaon and HLL Lifecare Limited, a Kerala based company, for providing medicines and surgical equipments at affordable price  to the people  in Gurgaon.
        On behalf of Municipal Corporation, the MoU was signed by Municipal Commissioner, Mr. T.L. Satyaprakash and Deputy Vice President, HLL Lifecare Limited, Mr. Benny Joseph signed it on behalf of the company. The MoU has been signed for a period of 10 years which could be extended.
        A pharmacy would be opened in a building constructed by the Municipal Corporation at Mahavir Chowk. The Municipal Corporation would provide area free of cost for the setting up of pharmacy and HLL Lifecare would provide medicines and surgical equipment  at affordable price.
ONLINE FAIR PRICE SHOPS: All Fair Price Shops in Haryana would be made online on November 1, 2016.
        While stating this here today, a spokesman of Haryana Food and Supplies Department said that awareness would be generated among the people about this online system so as to facilitate them.
        He said that Haryana Food and Supplies Minister, Mr Karan Dev Kamboj would hold a meeting with all depot holders at NDRI auditorium in Karnal on September 7.They would be apprised about guidelines to ensure smooth functioning of the new system.
