Panchkula to have a 50-bedded Ayush hospital

CHANDIGARH, SEPT 28
A 50 bedded Ayush hospital would be set up at Panchkula over an area of 12 acres at an estimated cost of Rs 10 crore.
         While stating this today, Health Minister, Mr Anil Vij said that Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal has approved a proposal to this effect.
          Mr Vij said that the Central Government has sanctioned Rs nine crore for this hospital which would be set up with the assistance of National Ayush Mission. The hospital would immensely benefit the residents of Panchkula and adjoining areas. The construction of the hospital building would soon commence and it would have all wings of AYUSH including Panchkarma, vasti, vaman, virechan, shirodhara and nasya. In addition, OPDs of Unani, Yoga, Sidha and Homeopathy systems of medicines would also be started.
          Mr Vij said that AYUSH department is already operating a 100 bedded hospital at Sri Krishna Ayurvedic College, Kurukshetra and a 25 bedded hospital is functional in Bhiwani. Also, two such hospitals of 10 beds each and six Primary Health Centres were functioning in the state.
          He said that with a view to promote Ayush in a big way, the Government was also setting up Sri Krishna Ayush University at Kurukshetra which would be first of its kind university, he added.
BAN ON USE OF LANTERNS: The Haryana Civil Aviation Department has imposed a complete ban on the use of lantern or wish kites within a radius of two kilometers from Civil Aerodrome, Pinjore.
          While giving this information here today, a spokesman of the Civil Aviation Department said  that during the festival season, the  airport operators face many problems due to the use of lantern or wish kites, especially during landing and take off of the aircrafts. Therefore, the ban has been imposed on the directions of the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation.
STATUTORY COMMITTEE: The Haryana Government has constituted a Statutory Committee headed by Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, to recommend the name for appointment of Commissioner for the Haryana Right to Service Commission.
          The Committee would include as Members Mr. Abhay Singh Chautala, Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly and Transport Minister, Mr. Krishan Lal Panwar. The Chief Secretary would assist the Committee as its Secretary.
          Lt. Gen (Retd.) V.S. Tonk, Commissioner, Haryana Right to Service Commission will retire with effect from October 4, 2016 on attaining the age of 65 years.
