Railways Minister's promise to Rohtak people

CHANDIGARH, NOV 30
Union Railways Minister, Mr. Suresh Prabhu, today assured to resolve at the earliest the grievance of the people of Rohtak regarding a old  non-functional passage near the railway station, which leads to traffic snarls on various other roads in the city.
Haryana Minister of State for Urban Local Bodies, Mr. Manish Kumar Grover, today called on the Union Minister at Rail Bhavan in New Delhi and urged him to consider favourably this long-pending demand of the people of Rohtak. He also thanked the Union Minister for awarding elevated railway line project to Rohtak.
Mr. Grover informed the Railways Minister that the passage near Rohtak Railway Station had been constructed several years ago, but due to the negligence of previous governments, it was not opened for movement of traffic. In the absence of this road, traffic snarls were being experienced on Railway Road, Mal Godam Road, Old Anaj Mandi area, Railway Station, and Kaccha Beri Road areas. The opening of this road would ease movement of traffic on  other roads in the city, he added.
Keeping in view the inconvenience being caused to thousands of people, the Union Minister directed the concerned Railway officers to submit a report in this regard and assured that the grievance would be resolved at the earliest.
