Haryana Government restructures Excise and Taxation Department.

With a view to ensure effective tax administration under the guidelines issued by the Central Government for implementation of Goods and Services Tax from next financial year onwards, the Haryana Government has restructured the Excise and Taxation Department. Apart from this, the State Government has also sanctioned two posts each of District Excise and Taxation Commissioners (Inspection) for districts Gurugram and Faridabad.
        While stating this here today, Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu said that the Government had created a new range at Rohtak for the purpose of tax administration, thus increasing the total number of ranges to five. At present, ranges are functional at Ambala, Faridabad, Gurugram and Hisar. The Ambala range comprises Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kaithal, Kurukshetra and Karnal. Similarly, Faridabad range comprises Faridabad (East), Faridabad (West), Faridabad (North), Faridabad (South) and Palwal. He said that Gurugram range comprises Gurugram (East), Gurugram (West), Gurugram (North), Gurugram (South) and Mewat. The Hisar range comprises Hisar, Jind, Fatehabad, Sirsa and Bhiwani. The newly-created Rohtak range comprises Rohtak, Panipat, Sonepat, Rewari, Narnaul and Jhajjar, he added.
        The Minister said that the Government had bifurcated district Gurugram into two new Excise Districts, that is, Gurugram (East) and (West) to administer various Acts of the department. He said that the boundary of the Gurugram (East) district starts from Delhi Border on Mehrauli Gurugram road which stretches up to IFFCO Chowk, the entire left hand side area of the MG road as distinct boundary. Further, starting from IFFCO chowk towards Jaipur, the entire area falling on left side on NH 8 of District Gurugram stretching up to start of boundary of Kherki Daula Police Station towards Hero Honda Chowk. The boundary further extends on both sides of NH 8 covering the entire territory of Kherki Daula police station up to start of territory of Manesar police station on NH 8.
        He said that the territory of the Gurugram (West) district starts from Delhi border on Mehrauli-Gurugram Road comprising the entire right hand side area of DLF-II, Cyber City, Ambience Mall, Cyber Hub, and Nathupur which stretches up to IFFCO Chowk taking left turn on NH 8 from IFFCO Chowk, the complete right side of NH 8 extending up to the district revenue boundaries touching to Revenue boundary of Rewari District. The boundaries of this district would extend up to border of Delhi state in the North and district Jhajjar in the North West.
        Capt. Abhimanyu said that the geographical boundaries of district Gurugram (North) would start from Dundahera village at Delhi Border towards Gurugram, the entire area falling on right hand side comprising of Sector 21 and 22 on Old Delhi road stretching up to the corner of dividing road of sector 18 and 19 and take left turn on dividing road of sector 18 and 19 up to NH-8. Further, take right turn on NH-8 towards Rajiv Chowk, the entire area falling on the right hand side up to Rajiv Chowk which further extends on Railway Road up to origin of Basai Road from Sadar Bazar (opposite mosque). From this point (mosque), the entire area falling on right hand side on Basai road extending up to outer corner of sector 9 and 10 towards Basai village. Further, take right turn and the entire right hand side area falling on dividing road of sector 9B and 9, Sector 101 and 104, Sector 102 and 102A including sector 107 and 108. The boundary of this district touches the entire revenue boundary of National Capital Delhi near Najafgarh Drain.
        Similarly, the geographical boundaries of district Gurugram (South) would start from Rajiv Chowk of Gurugram with area of left hand side stretching towards Railway Station up to origin of Basai-Khandsa road from Sadar Bazar. Further, moving on Basai road, the area falling on left hand side stretching up to Basai Chowk, that is, outer corner of sector 10 towards Basai village. Further, take left turn from Basai Chowk, the entire area falling on left hand of the dividing road of sector 37C and 10, Sector 37A and 10A extending up to Hero Honda Chowk at NH-8. Further, from Hero Honda Chowk on NH-8 the area falling on left hand side of NH-8 while going towards Jaipur would stretch up to Revenue boundary of Rewari district. Further starting from Rajiv Chowk and moving towards Medanta Hospital, the entire area falling on right hand side of dividing road of Tau Devi Lal Stadium and sector 32, Sector-38 and 39, Sector 47 and 46, Sector 50 and 51, Sector 65 and 62, Sector 64 and 63, Sector 64 and 63A. The District would touch to the revenue boundaries of districts Rewari and Mewat and Faridabad in South and East. This District would comprise of entire area of Sohna sub division, he added.
        He said that the Faridabad (East) district would include area from Badarpur Border (Faridabad) on left side of Railway line coming from Delhi up to Bata Railway Crossing (left side). It would also include dividing road of Sector 12, 13 and Sector 9, 10 and 11 (left. side). Bye pass road from Sector 13 to NHPC Chowk, Sector 3 to Tigaon Road up to Tigaon and Gharora via village Lahandola, Jafarpur Majra (left side). Similarly, the Faridabad (West) district would include left side of Hardware Chowk to NIT-2/NIT-3, Dabua Pali Road, Pali Chowk, Pali Chowk to Gurugram on Sohna Road via Pali and Dhoj. The right side from Hardware Chowk to Main Mujessar Road to Mujessar Railway Crossing up to Railway Phatak and right side of railway line from Railway crossing (Mujessar to boundary of district Palwal).
        The Finance Minister said that the Faridabad (North) district would include area from Badarpur, Faridabad Border on Right Side of Railway line coming Delhi up to Bata Railway flyover. It would also include right side of Bata Hardware Road up to NIT-2 and 3 pulia and from Dabua Colony to Dabua Pali road up to Chungi No.17 and, from Chungi No.17 to Nawade Koh up to Pali and from Pali to Dhoj up to Khori Jamal pur up to Gurugram, border (Right side of road) right side of Dabua Pali road (from Dabua to Pali). Similarly, the Faridabad (South) district would include area from Mujessar Railway Crossing to Hardware Chowk to Railway Line to Bata Railway Crossing to dividing road of Sector 12, 13 and Sector 9, 10 and 11 (right side) up to bye pass road from Sector 13 to NHPC Chowk Sector 3 to Tigaon Road up to Tigaon and Gharora via village Lahandola, Jafarpur Majra (right side). It would also include left side of railway line from railway crossing (Mujessar to boundary of district Palwal), he added.
