The Haryana Government has constituted State Steering Committee and State Level Coordination Committee for organising the 21st National Youth Festival, 2017 to be held at Rohtak from January 12 to 16.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of Sports and Youth Affairs Department said that the 12-member State Steering Committee had been constituted under the chairmanship of Sports and Youth Affairs Minister, Mr. Anil Vij, to monitor, supervise and decide various activities to be taken up during the festival.
Cooperation Minister, Mr. Manish Grover, would be the Vice-Chairman of the committee, which would include as members the Chief Secretary, Administrative Secretary, Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Director General of Police, Director, Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Commissioner, Rohtak Division, Rohtak, Deputy Commissioner , Rohtak, Inspector General of Police , Rohtak Range, Rohtak, Superintendent of Police, Rohtak and Rajbir Singh, Event Coordinator, Maharishi Dayanand University (MDU). Vice-Chancellor, MDU, Rohtak, would serve as Convener of the committee.
He said that the 28-member State Level Coordination Committee had been constituted under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary implement various decisions of the State Advisory Committee and the State Steering Committee, and to allocate work and assign duties for discharging various functions or conducting events, besides approving specific activities to be taken up during the National Youth Festival, 2017.
Administrative Secretary, Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Dr. K.K. Khandelwal would be the Vice-Chairman of the committee. It would include as members the Administrative Secretaries of Health, Transport, Public Works (Building and Roads), Home, Finance, Public Health Engineering, Higher Education, Information, Public Relations and Languages, Cultural Affairs and Urban Local Bodies Departments. Other Members of the committee include Director General Police, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Chief Managing Director (CMD), Haryana Police Housing Corporation, Joint Secretary, Youth Affairs, Government of India, Commissioner, Rohtak Division, Vice-Chancellor, MDU, Rohtak, Director, Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Director General, Health Services, Managing Director, HARTRON, Deputy Commissioner, Rohtak, Inspector General, Rohtak Range, Rohtak, Superintendent of Police, Rohtak, Director General, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), Principal Officer on Special Duty to Chief Minister, Director, North Zone Cultural Centre, Patiala and Rajbir Singh, Event Coordinator, MDU, Rohtak.
