Haryana to set up Sanskrit university in Mundri

CHANDIGARH, FEB 19
Haryana Chief Minister Mahohar Lal said that with a view to promote Sanskrit language in the state, a Sanskrit university would be setup at village Mundri in Kaithal district. Also, a government recognized Sanskrit Gurukul College would be established at Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Complex in Panchkula.
          Mr. Manohar Lal was speaking at the centenary celebrations of Gurukul Indraprastha in Faridabad, today. Governor, Himachal Pradesh Acharya Devvrat was also present on the occasion. 
         The Chief Minister also announced to give Rs 21 lakh to Indraprastha Gurukul and Rs five lakh to Chandan Devi Gurukul, Pillukhera, Jind from his discretionary fund. He said that the road from Sarai Khawaja to Gurukul would be named as Swami Shradhanand Marg.  On the demand of organizers to give recognition to Shastri, Acharya and Shiksha Shastri at par with Bachelor of Arts (BA),   Master of Arts (MA) and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), the Chief Minister assured   that he would get the matter examined. He said that 1000 vyayam shalas would soon be opened in the State and coaches would also be recruited for the same.
          While describing the Gurukul education system as the centre of multifarious  activities, the Chief Minister said that in Gurukul, knowledge about various activities like education, physical development, yoga and Yajna was provided at a single place. He said that he had a long association with Gurukul Indraprastha which is a source of inspiration for him today also. He reminded that about 36 years ago in 1981, when he worked as Pracharak in Faridabad, he spent two days in this Gurukul and discussed the circumstances prevailing in the society, state and country that time. 
He said that Indraprastha Gurukul which was founded by Swami Shradhanand had been a centre   for the revolutionists like Neta Ji Subhash Chandra Bose Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Ashfaq Ullah Khan , Sukhdev and Rajguru where they used to conduct various revolutionary activities. He also appreciated the contribution of Arya Samaj in the field of women education and said that even today, the Gurukuls run by Arya Samaj were providing education based on high ideals and discharging selfless service to the society. 
          The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi gave a clarion call for Beti Bachao Beti Padhao from Haryana and the Arya Samaj and other voluntary organizations  have supported the State Government in this noble cause. He said that as a result of the effective implementation of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao programme, the sex ratio in the State has reached   922 in January, 2017. The State Government is committed to take this figure beyond 950. He said that on one hand daughters of Haryana like Ms Deepa Malik and Ms Sakshi Malik have made the State and the country proud in the world in sports, Ms Kalpana Chawla had made her mark as Astronaut. 
Governor , Himachal Pradesh, Acharya Devvrat said that Arya Samaj heralds the women education in north India. He said that Indraprastha Gurukul was founded by Swami Shrathanand who had also played vital role in the freedom struggle. 
On this occasion,  Mr Manohar Lal and Governor, Himachal Pradesh Acharya Devvrat jointly released the first edition of booklet of Arya Pratinidhi Sabha  based on the history of Indraprastha Gurukul. Apart from this, they also released the monthly booklet “Yuva Nirman” of Arya Vir Dal, New Delhi. 
Among those present on this occasion included Industries Minister Mr Vipul Goyal, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Mrs Seema Trikha, Mayor, Faridabad Municipal Corporation Mrs Suman Bala and other prominence personalities.
