Framing rules to give extension to employees post retirement

CHANDIGARH, MAY 24
Haryana Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu has said that the Department could draft Rules at its own level for giving extension in service to officers and employees post retirement keeping in view the requirement, work efficiency record of employee and technical importance of post. 
          Capt. Abhimanyu was interacting with the media persons after the meeting of Cabinet Sub-Committee constituted regarding increasing the retirement age of employees from 58 to 60 years with Chief Secretary Mr D.S Dhesi here today. 
          He said that cabinet sub-committee constituted under his Chairmanship has studied the recruitment process being adopted by six States for preparing draft rules for the transparent recruitment of Class IV employees keeping in view their socio-economic condition. He said that the recruitment process by Haryana Staff Selection Commission and Haryana Public Service Commission is in progress to fill up 50,000 vacant posts. 
          The Finance Minister said that  it has been decided to convene the third meeting of the Committee in Chandigarh on June 14, 2017 at 4 pm. Discussions were also held in the meeting regarding fixing of tenure of Head of the Departments, he added. 
                    He said that at present 39 officers and employees of different departments are on service extension post retirement. He said that though government employees retired every year but the number of employees going to be retired in Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Police and Irrigation Departments in the year 2017 would be comparatively more. He said that Director General of Police has informed in the meeting that research work is adversely affected due to the retirement of large number of Research Officers in the Police Department. 
          Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr Krishan Kumar Bedi was also present in the meeting.
