Haryana promotes four IPS officers

CHANDIGARH, JULY 13
The Haryana Government has promoted four IPS officers in the in the rank of Superintendent of Police with immediate effect.
           Astha Modi, ACP Faridabad has been posted at DCP, NIT, Faridabad, Himanshu Garg, ASP, Sirsa has been posted as Addl.SP, Bahadurgarh, Waseem Akram, ADC to Governor has been posted ADC to Governor and Ganga Ram Punia, ASP, Headquarters, Fatehabad (temporary duty in CID) has been posted as SP, Security.

NABARD'S CONTRIBUTIION IN HARYANA: National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) had disbursed Rs 10,280 crore to Haryana in 2016-17 which would be increased to about Rs 12,000 crore in 2017-18 which is a growth of 17 per cent over the previous year.
        This was disclosed in 36th Foundation Day celebration of NABARD Regional offices of Haryana and Punjab, today.
        Informing about the important milestones achieved by the organisation during its journey of last 35 years, the Chief General Manager, NABARD Haryana, Mr. Arun Shukla appreciated its active role in the field of agriculture and rural development. He said that NABARD had covered around 5,000 villages in both Haryana and Punjab during May-June 2017 to spread awareness on water conservation, water harvesting and water management.
        Addressing the gathering about the important role vested in NABARD by the Government of India, IAS officer, Mr. Vivek Atray appreciated the fulfilment of its mandate compared to the other similar public institutions. He exhorted the staff of NABARD to make significant contribution while performing their duty so that they are remembered by the organisation even after their retirement.
