HUDA invites applications from educational societies and trusts

CHANDIGARH, JULY 10
The Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) has invited applications from eligible organizations, educational societies and trusts keen on setting up of world class educational institutions and universities in the well developed and fast upcoming Rajiv Gandhi Education City (RGEC) in Sonipat. 
          While stating this here today, a spokesman of HUDA said that institution run by organization, educational societies and trusts having established track record of more than ten years could apply. 
          He said that those other who could apply included institutions of higher education run by business houses having annual turnover of Rs 5000 crore, provided they run on No Profit No loss basis, private universities of higher education desirably having long term foreign tie-ups and universities set up under Haryana Private Universities Act. The booking would commence fromJuly 14 and would close on August 29, 2017
          The spokesman said that plots which are available for allotment included Plot No. 1A of 26 acres at the rate of Rs 13,000 per square meters, Plot No. 14 of 7.38 acres at the rate of Rs 15,500 per square meters, Plot No. 15 of ten acres at the rate of Rs 14,000 per square meters, Plot No. 17 of 2.32 acres, Plot No. 18 of 2.32 acres and  Plot No. 20 of 1.14 acres at the rate of Rs 17,000 per square meters each, Plot No. 21-A of 31.30 acres at the rate of Rs 13,000 per square meters, Plot No. 26A of 4.27 acres at the rate of Rs 17,000 per square meters, Plot No.  35 of 9.20 acres at the rate of Rs 15,500 per square meters and Plot No. 38 of ten acres at the rate of Rs 14,000 per square meters. He said that the detailed terms and condition and eligibility criteria could be viewed on the website www.huda.org.in with effect from July 13, 2017.           He said that Rajiv Gandhi Educaion City is strategically located on National Highway No.1 in Sonipat district at a distance of only five kilometers from Delhi border and 55 kilometers from Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi. It has a good connectivity with National Capital as well as other important areas. The site falls at the junction of upcoming Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway connecting NH-1, 2, 8 and 10. 
          He said that reputed institutions like Ashoka University and SRM University have already started functioning from the campuses allotted to them in RGEC. Also, IIT Delhi is setting up an extension campus and National Law University campus is fast coming up.
