The Haryana Government has changed the criteria in connection with the disbursal of social security pension or allowance in case of death of beneficiaries.
A proposal to this effect was approved in the meeting of State Cabinet which met under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal here today.
As per the new criteria, allowance or pension will cease to be payable on the death of a beneficiary. However, the amount of pension or allowance will be paid for full month in which death of the beneficiary occurs (any date of the month) to the nominee. This new criteria would also be incorporated in the scheme “Financial Assistance to Kashmiri Migrants”.
At present, there are eight social security pension or allowance schemes namely Old Age Samman Allowance, Haryana Pension to Widow and Destitute Women Scheme, the Haryana Divyang Pension, Ladli Social Security Allowance, Financial Assistance to Destitute Children, Haryana Allowance to Dwarf, Haryana Allowance to Eunuch and Financial Assistance to Non-school going Disabled Children Schemes.
