Haryana makes changes in HTETexamination

CHANDIGARH, SEPT 14
The Haryana Government has revised the scheme, structure and course content of the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) examination for Level-I that is Primary Teacher (PRT) and Level-III that is for Post Graduate Teacher (PGT). 
           While stating this here today, a spokesman of Secondary Education Department said that however, the changes regarding HTET examination for Level-II that is for Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) would be intimated in due course. 
          He said that some candidates and teacher associations have represented time and again that the scheme, structure and course content of the HTET examination needs to be revised or amended as the aptitude of their relevant subject has not been factored in to the present scheme of HTET examination. Further, some more suggestions have been received regarding the course content of the HTET, he added. 
           The spokesman said that as per the undertaking given by the Government to the Court, HTET 2016 Examination is to be conducted in the month of November 2017. The Board of School Education Haryana, Bhiwani has been directed to fix the date for the HTET examination, do the needful in the matter at the earliest and intimate Directorate accordingly. 
           While referring to the revised scheme, structure and course content of the HTET examination for Level-I that is PRT, he said that the examination would be of 150 marks and duration of the paper would be two-and-a-half hours. The examination would carry 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) including 30 MCQs each of Child Development and Pedagogy, languages including Hindi and English, General Studies, Mathematics and Environmental Studies. 
           He said that Level-III examination for PGT would be of 150 marks with duration of two-and-a-half hours. The examination would carry 150 MCQs including 30 MCQs each of Child Development and Pedagogy, Languages including Hindi and English, General Studies and 60 MCQs of subject specific.
