Haryana State Bharat Scouts and Guides Association bags 7 Natl awards

CHANDIGARH, NOV 16
Haryana State Bharat Scouts and Guides Association has bagged seven National Awards for the excellent performance in various Scouts or Guides events and activities planned and organised during 2016-17.
          While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that Haryana was the only state which has got the highest number of awards, leaving behind even the big states like Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Bihar, Kerala, Odisha and a number of other states and Union Territories. These awards were presented in the National Council meeting that held in New Delhi on November 12, 2017, he added.
          He said that the State Association has also gone much ahead in getting a large number of its field functionaries trained as Pre-Assistant Leader Trainer (ALT), Assistant Leader Trainer and Leader Trainer (LT) which would help it in achieving the goal of bringing about qualitative and quantitative improvement in its training programmes for Scouts or Guides.
HTET COACHING TO SC/ST CANDIDATES: Haryana Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Department has decided to provide 120 hours free HTET coaching to the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes, De-Notified Tribes and Ghamantu and Tapriwas Jatis having family income upto Rs 2.5 lakh per annum.
           While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Department said that the candidates desirous of getting free HTET coaching could contact the concerned District Welfare Officer.
           The last date for applying is November 20, 2017, he added.  
NEUROLOHY COURSE:  In Haryana, candidates will soon be able to pursue Diplomat of National Board (DNB) Neurology course as the State Government has decided to start the same in Pt B.D. Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Science, Rohtak under National Board of Examination.
          Giving this information here today, Health Minister, Mr Anil Vij said that Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has accorded approval for the same.
          He said that it would be a three year course with annual intake capacity of two which would be started with the support of experience and expert Neurology Consultants in the larger public interest.
