Haryana to open medical colleges in each disrrict

CHANDIGARH, NOV 7
 Keen on producing 2,000 doctors every year to meet the shortage, the Haryana Government has decided to set up a medical college in every district of the state. 
          This was stated by the Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, while speaking at the ‘Double Helical State Health Award 2017’ presentation ceremony organized here, late last evening. He honoured about 50 prominent doctors, health experts and medical specialists for their outstanding contribution in the field of healthcare.
      Describing doctors’ profession as stressful, the Chief Minister said that a medical officer performed his duty round-the-clock. It is commendable. The state government is continuously working to meet the requirement of doctors and it could only be achieved by setting up new medical colleges.
   Mr Manohar Lal said a medical health insurance scheme was also being finalized to ensure that poor people did not face any difficulty in getting treatment in hospitals. 
TRANSFER OF AREA: The Haryana Government has decided to transfer the area of village Bhagdana from Police Station Kanina to Police Station, Mahendergarh in public interest.
        While stating this here today, a spokesman of Home Department said that Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has approved a proposal in this regard.
         He said that the village Panchayat Bhagdana, district Mahendergarh had requested the Chief Minister that the area of villages which falls under the administrative jurisdiction of Police Station Kanina  is situated at a distance of about 20-22 kilometers from their village, whereas Police Station Mahendergarh is only about five kilometers. Due to indirect mode of conveyance from village Bhagdana to Kanina, the villagers of village Bhagdana feel inconvenience while visiting Police Station, Kanina for administrative purposes, he added.
SHAHEED UDHAM SINGH GATE: The Haryana Government has decided to construct a gate in the name of Shaheed Udham Singh in district Jind on Rohtak-Bawal Road (NH-71) at Punjab Border.
            Disclosing this here today, a spokesman of Public Works (Building and Roads) Department said that Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has approved a proposal in this regard.
        He said that as many as 24 gates at various locations at interstate entry points of Haryana are to be constructed. In the same series, it has been decided to construct a gate in the name of Shaheed Udham Singh in district Jind on Rohtak-Bawal road at Punjab Border, he added.
            He said that the Government has also decided to name the road from “Dhani Kumbhawas to Dhani Chitrasen” as “Late Rao Gauri Sahay Marg”. He said that the Gram Panchayat Dhani Chitrasen had submitted a proposal to the State Government for naming of road from “Dhani Kumbhawas to Dhani Chitrasen” as “Late Rao Gauri Sahay Marg”.

 NASEEM AHMED NOMINATED: Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Mr Kanwar Pal today has nominated Mr Naseem Ahmed, MLA as Special Invitee to serve on the Committee on Government Assurances for the remaining period of the year 2017-18.
LAUNCH OF MOBILE APPLICATION: Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij will launch a mobile application and release a book titled ‘Standard Operating System’ based on Hepatitis-C at Red Bishop in Panchkula on November 8, 2017. This mobile application would provide information related to health services to doctors in the state.
        While stating this here today, Director General, Health, Dr. Satish Aggarwal said that Health Minister would participate in the state level seminar on Hepatitis-C being organised by the Department on November 8.
        He said that this mobile application would help in promptly updating doctors in the state with new schemes of the State Government and other information. Apart from this, the book titled ‘Standard Operating System’ consists of flowchart of treatment and prevention of Hepatitis-C which would be helpful in treatment of patients.
        Dr. Aggarwal said that Principal Secretary of the Department, Mr. Amit Jha, Nodal Officers of Hepatitis-C in all districts of the State, and senior officers of Central Government would also participate in the seminar.
RAM BILAS TO PRESIDE: Haryana Education Minister, Mr Ram Bilas Sharma will preside over a meeting of Vice-Chancellors and Registrars of all Government and Private Universities of the state here on November 8, 2017.
          While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that various issues concerning improvement in higher education would be discussed in the meeting.
