IAS AND HCS officers to provide contact details while on leave

CHANDIGARH, NOV 3
Haryana Government has directed all IAS and HCS officers to provide their contact details in the leave application while taking casual or earned leave. 
          While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that it had been noticed that certain officers also leaves the station while being on casual or earned leave. In the absence of any contact, difficulty has been experienced to get in touch with such offices during their leave period. All officers have been directed to provide details like address, mobile number and email in the leave application so that they might be contacted in case of any requirement or emergent situation. 
 NOV 9 PAID HOLIDAY: The Haryana Government has notified November 9, 2017, the day of poll for the general election to Himachal Pradesh, as paid holiday for its staff who are enrolled as voters in Himachal Pradesh, to enable them exercise their franchise. Such employees can avail special casual leave, paid, on that day. 
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that the holiday would be observed under section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act 1881 and section 135-B of Representation of the People Act in all Haryana government offices, boards and corporations and educational institutes in respect of those staff of the state government who are registered voters in Himachal Pradesh. 
          He said that it was also notified that employees of various factories, shops and private establishments located in Haryana, who are registered voters of Himachal Pradesh, can take paid leave under Section 135-B of the Representation of the People Act for the similar purpose.
APPLICATIONS INVITED FOR STATE AWARDS: Haryana Social Justice and Empowerment Department has invited applications to confer State Awards for year 2017-18 to the persons with disabilities or institutions or individuals for their outstanding work in the field of welfare of disabled. 
          While stating this here today, a spokesman of the department said that the awards would be given under the categories best disabled employee, employer award, best Individual, best institution, barrier-free environment for government, public sector undertaking, private institutions including industry or  trade and creative award. The last date for submitting application is November 15, 2017.
          He said that State Award for best disabled employee would be given to best employee in government sector or public sector undertaking (PSU) of the state government and best employee in private sector. The first and second prize would carry Rs 25,000 and Rs 15,000 respectively in both categories. Besides, it would also be given to self employed and the award would carry Rs 25,000.
          The employer award would be given in three categories of best employer in government department or PSUs, best employer in private and best placement agency (government or private) which would carry prize money of Rs 50,000, Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively. 
          The State Award for best individual would carry prize money of Rs 25,000 whereas Rs 50,000 would be given in the categories of best institution barrier-free environment. Under creative award, two awards carries prize money of Rs 25,000 each would be conferred to best adult male and female disabled creative person. Apart from this, prize money of Rs 15,000 each would also be given to a boy and a girl below 18 years under the category of best creative child. 
          He said that application forms complete in all respect alongwith recommendation mush reach at SCO No.68-70, Sector-17A, Chandigarh by November 15, 2017. Those disabled persons, who have already received State Award, would not be considered for the year 2017-18. Further information could be obtained from websitewww.socialjusticehry.gov.in, he added.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR GROUP D POSTS: The Haryana Government has issued clarification regarding minimum educational qualification for recruitment of Group-D posts in various departments and public sector undertakings in the state.
          While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that the departments or public sector undertakings who don’t have even ‘Middle Pass’ as a qualification need to make amendments  in their service rules to prescribe  minimum qualification as ‘Middle Pass’. Those who have qualification for Group-D posts higher than ‘Middle Pass’ may continue to retain the same.
